About Us

Our Story

Based in New York City, husband-and-wife team Cullen & Elitia Mattox founded WhenLoveWorks Dynamically® and Authored Love Literacy  in response to a disheartening and persistent need in their immediate community for relationship support. Wishing this kind of support had existed when they were both finding their own way (and finding each other), they were inspired to create a relationship coaching platform dedicated to disrupting the status quo of unhealthy relationships of all kinds. WhenLoveWorks Dynamically® is the C.P.R. for healthy relationships.

When they are not working with Romantic clients, Cullen & Elitia and their team lead Community programming across NYCHA with the signature Love Leader™ 101 series or find them facilitating Professional development for healthier work cultures within businesses and schools.

Our Background

With backgrounds in psychology, education, communication and design, Cullen & Elitia created a consciousness curriculum that encourages clients to go within and self-reflect, removing obstacles and engaging in transformative work that enables them to thrive at optimal levels in personal, romantic, and professional relationships.

Our Belief

They believe the tools to building and maintaining successful, healthy relationships are accessible to anyone willing to do the work. Those who are willing to work, will enjoy a full array of tools and resources WLWD® proprietary coaching, Love Leader® membership, mobile tools on the App and the WhenLoveWorks Dynamically® podcast, streaming across the US and 25 countries.

Since 2013, Cullen, Elitia and the WLWD® Team have helped more than 1,000 clients across the United States save time, energy, and resources as they navigate personal growth and development in their own relationship journeys. Everything at When Love Works Dynamically® makes it easy for high-performing, busy professionals to get the practical tools they need at their fingertips so they can actually enjoy their relationships.

Our Mission

We are on a mission to disrupt the status quo of unhealthy relationships that’s plaguing historically marginalized communities. Unfortunately, there is a pervasive gap in healthy, relational skills among this community. We fill this gap with coaching services, our Love Leader program and professional development within schools and private orgs. Ultimately, we will create a planet of love leaders who have the tools to build, repair and sustain healthy relationships in their homes, at work and in their community.
